Grade 1:

8:20 – 9:00= Calendar and whole group meeting

· Look at some of the adjective work

· Have students describe different objects I hold up.

9:00-10:00= Independent work time

• 15 minutes independent reading (on your own)

• small groups

Draw 4 pictures of your favourite things. Then come up with 2 adjectives to describe your favorite things. (sound out your words, this should be your work, not your adults.)

10:00-10:30= snack and recess

10:35-10:50= Writing lesson

• Listen to a story. Stopping after every page for students to discuss what adjectives they noticed from the page.

· Have students pick 4 colours. Practice writing…..The colour ________ is ___________. Coming up with an adjective for each color.

10:50-12:00=

Finish colour writing activity and post on seesaw
