Welcome to Grade one and two

welcome to online grade one and two! what an exciting and ground breaking year we will be apart of. This is a platform where learning and fun will come together to create a wonderful and unique elementary learning experience. I encourage you to explore this website and virtual spaces.

Our Classes

This is a Monday to Thursday and half day Friday program. Their will be required package pickups one to two times a month and the odd time for children to come in for assessments and other activities.

March class dates:

About me:

My name is Mrs. Pirie and I have been teaching since 2010. I taught for 6 years at Lethbridge Montessori school and was the kindergarten teacher there. I then taught for Lethbridge school district for the last three years in Kindergarten. Last year I was one of the online kindergarten teachers for the district and I fell in love with the unique ways to foster learning in a new environment. Needless to say, I love teaching lower elementary and I love to foster creativity and learning through games, STEM, and play.

In that time I have had two beautiful babies. A boy aged four and a little girl who is one. We are a busy household and when we can we love to spend most of our time outside in the mountains. We can be found skiing, hiking, mountain biking, camping, rock climbing, and swimming in the lakes.

In my free time I enjoy being outside, painting, doing yoga, and taking pictures. This year I am hoping to get my kids yoga teacher training certification, and to learn how to be the best online grade one/two teacher that I can be.

May 19 - May 19 - Spring Gala- All students are participating in a music/movement activity (more info to come). This is where we will be presenting our art pieces
