Grade 1:

Hello,

My daughter, son, and I have unfortunately all fallen ill. This means that tomorrow will be an asynchronous learning day for the grade 1 students. What this means is that they will not receive any instruction from me LIVE. However, they WILL watch pre recorded videos, do the assignments and have LIVE meetings with Mr. Barks and with Ms. Evans. They will also in addition be doing some assignments on seesaw after completing their assignments from the videos. I know this is not ideal, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Here is a breakdown of what their day should look like”

8:30: Discuss with your child what day it is next on their calendar and have them write the correct day and draw the weather.

8:45: Have your child watch the pre-recorded video labeled reading assignment. (Do the activity after watching the video)

Do the seesaw activity after completing this assignment.

10:00 or 10:15= Meet Mr. Barks on TEAMS for your printing lesson.

10:40= Please watch the pre recorded writing lesson.(Do the activity in the video)

Do the seesaw activity after completing this assignment.

11:00 or 11:15= your child will meet with Mr. Barks on TEAMS to do your spelling word fish.

1:00=Please do your pre recorded science lesson.(Do the activity it asks you to complete)

Please do your seesaw assignment after.

2:00= Please do your pre recorded art lesson (Do the activity it asks you to complete)

2:30= Please use this time to finish up any assignments you were unable to complete.

If you are wondering how to access these pre recorded lessons you will go into your TEAMS and find where it says TEAMS. You will click on the Team that says Homeroom 1. You will then find where it says Files. Once you are in files you will click the folder that says sub plans. After that you will click on whichever folder you are to do (reading, writing, Science, or art). You will then watch the video and complete the assignment.
